Working Group on Greening Research
The Working Group on Greening Research supports the focus of Science Europe members on the promotion of ecological sustainability as a fundamental value for research activity and organisations.
Addressing climate change by reducing the ecological footprint of research activities and promoting greener practices for both Member Organisations and the broader research ecosystem, aligns with Science Europe's priority to "strengthen the role and contribution of science in tackling societal challenges."
In successive steps, the Working Group analyses the ecological footprint of research organisations and how to integrate environmental criteria in research activity. It also explores the environmental impact of digitalisation.
The Working Group provides advice to the Governing Board and together with the Office develops relevant activities and events.
