Together with CSIC and NCN, Science Europe is organising the European Regional Meeting of the Global Research Council to provide input to the 2022 GRC Annual Meeting.
With this letter, the undersigned representatives of research and innovation (R&I) organisations wish to reiterate the added value of including European R&I stakeholders in the ERA governance system, especially in both its co-creation and implementation.
This workshop will look at how national governments, research performers, and research funders can help translate scientific knowledge into policies and actions to address the climate crisis. It also serves as the launch of the new Working Group on the Green and Digital Transition and help prepare input towards COP26.

The Global Research Council (GRC) 2021 Annual Meeting, hosted by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and the National Research Foundation (NRF) in South Africa, took place remotely between 24 and 28 May 2021. It was preceded by the regional events and meetings of the various GRC groups.
We are pleased to announce that Science Europe is now issuing Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for its publications and depositing its publications on the Zenodo platform.
Science Europe joins forces with other stakeholder organisations to argue for an exemption for not-for-profit scientific and educational repositories in the Digital Services Act (DSA). Please note this is for internal use only as this document was sent to a selected number of Parliament and Council representatives to advocate for the exemption.
