Congratulations to the 2022 Nobel Prizes laureates

The Nobel Prizes were announced this week. Every October, six prizes are awarded to reward an individual's or organisation's significant contribution in a specific field. Prizes are given for medicine, physics, chemistry, economic science, literature and peace work. Science Europe warmly felicitates all the laureates.

Science Europe Second Workshop on Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation in European Programmes

What can countries do to reduce the R&I disparities in Europe? How can national and European funding be used in a complementary way to widen participation in European programmes? What national measures have been developed to boost brain circulation? On 27 September Science Europe members met to address these important questions and exchange on successful initiatives.

Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment

This Agreement sets a shared direction for changes in assessment practices for research, researchers, and research performing organisations, with the goal to maximise the quality and impact of research. It includes principles, commitments, and timeframes for reforms and lays out principles for a Coalition of organisations willing to work together in implementing the changes.

Science Europe 2021 Annual Report

For Science Europe, 2021 was a very important year: the association celebrated its 10th year of existence. Founded in 2011, it has grown into a respected and influential voice in the European research policy debate. Moreover, we published a new Strategy Plan for 2021–2026, which maps our collective objectives and sets a specific yet flexible action framework over the next five years.
