Science Europe has responded to the European Commission Call-for-Evidence on a Fair Labour Mobility Package, emphasising that equitable and inclusive career and mobility opportunities for research professionals are central to the effectiveness, attractiveness, and quality of the European Research Area. The response builds on Science Europe’s long-standing commitment to improving research careers and mobility, as reflected in its previous policy positions and activities on careers and working conditions in research.

2023 proved to be another landmark year for Science Europe: building on the achievements of the previous year and setting the direction for new approaches in vital areas of research policy.

This Multi-annual Action Plan proposes a series of framework actions to guide the implementation of the Science Europe Strategy Plan 2021–2026 in line with the association's updated vision, mission, values, and strategic priorities. The Action Plan was updated in June 2024.

This edition of the event dealt with international scientific collaboration between Europe, Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean, based on principles of reciprocity and equity.

Science Europe’s new ‘Practical Guide to Supporting Diversity in Research Environments’ highlights key findings from a membership survey conducted in 2023, showcases good practices, and provides practical recommendations across topics such as positive action measures and the collection and use of diversity data. 

Science Europe, EUA, and EARTO sent an Open Letter to European Commissioner for Innovation and Research Iliana Ivanova. The letter stresses the crucial role of EU R&I investments in addressing global challenges, boosting the EU's global competitiveness, and reinforcing its strategic autonomy.
